One contemplates upon Kaali, Maha Devi, the pure energy,

Three-eyed and of infinite forms, with a lolling tongue, face like the full moon,

Resembling the petal of a blue-lily, remover of the six enemies, holding a severed head,

Sword, lotus, and bestowing abundance with her four hands, red-hued lips,

Fearful form with sharp extended teeth, whose laughter shakes the three worlds,

Always draped in the infinite skies, standing on a corpse,

Adorned with a garland of severed heads,

Goddess of all the gods.
